SMH Doctors Christmas Celebration 2025
Theme: “BORN AGAIN”
This evening the doctors of Scudder Memorial Hospital gathered for a truly heartwarming Christmas celebration. The chapel was filled with a gentle spirit of joy, worship, and fellowship as everyone came together as one family. The programme opened with a simple and sincere introduction and prayer, followed by a graceful entrance procession that brought a quiet beauty to the start of the evening. The special Tamil song that followed lifted the atmosphere and reminded us of the hope that Christmas brings.
Throughout the programme there was a wonderful flow of music, dance, worship and creativity. The classical dance added grace and devotion to the evening and the SMH choir shared a special song that carried the message of peace in a tender way. Scripture was read with meaning and the introduction to this year theme BORN AGAIN invited everyone to think deeply about the new life that Christmas offers. A meaningful skit and a heartfelt theme song brought the message closer to our hearts. Choreography that followed expressed the story of Christmas with feeling and beauty. Special songs from our staff and the multilingual song at the end made the celebration warm and inclusive.
The message of Christmas reminded us that the birth of Christ is also the call to experience a new birth within ourselves. As doctors who serve the sick and the suffering every day this message felt especially close and personal. The evening closed with a sense of unity and gratitude as colleagues greeted one another and shared the joy of being part of the mission of SMH.
It was a touching and memorable celebration. May the message of BORN AGAIN renew our hearts fill our work with compassion and bless every doctor and every family in this season of Christmas.
