The Department of Orthopaedics is a Medical Specificity that focuses on the diagnosis of correction, prevention, and treatment of patients with skeletal deformities, i.e., disorders of the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, and skin, which form the musculoskeletal system. The Department of Orthopaedics at Scudder Memorial Hospital commenced in 2010 with 3 OPD’s a week. Initially, trauma was the primary focus of the department. With the emergence of new technologies and facilities, the department has grown into a full-fledged department with daily OPD. With decades of experience and strong medical ethics, our Orthopaedics Department is your one-stop solution for all health issues related to skeletal deformities and bones. Our qualified and trained surgeons bring special expertise in performing surgeries for bone fractures, myelitis, congenital disorders of hip joints, clubfoot surgeries, and knee and hip joint replacement surgeries. Additionally, we are a centre for training in Orthopaedics Technicians and have been recognized for teaching by the DNB Board.
